Depends on how you define best team. I do not necessarily


believe that the "best" team always wins a game. VT vs Syracuse comes to mind, or the beat down of FSU by L'ville. I have no doubt that if there had been a rematch in either of those cases the results would have been different. Also consider VT's 2007 and 2008 seasons where VT beat BC in the ACC CG after losing to the Eagles in both regular season match ups.
IMO, the current 2-division setup of the PAC, ACC, B1G and SEC in no way guarantees the two best teams will meet in the conference title games.
